We were SO fortunate to find Danielle and Torsten just in time for a 3-week trip off of the Big Island to care for our two golden retrievers (including a 5 month old puppy!) an our Alpha - a Siamese cat! It was hard for us to consider having "strangers" in our home until we met Danielle and Torsten...we knew immediately that they loved animals and knew how to live respectfully in somebody else's space. Their calm, kind demeanor was obvious and our pets loved them instantly. While we were away, they sent us daily texts and photos to let us know everyone was happy and having fun...we didn't worry for even a second! When we returned, our house was exactly as we left it (maybe even better!) and our pets were happy to see us, but not stressed at all that we'd be gone. We live in Kamuela, Hawaii, on the Big Island of Hawaii. We have a small Jack Russell Terrier who is full of energy and loves people. Cat Sitting in Caesarea

One takes a bucket full of superlative adjectives and gets the best description of Torsten & Danielle, staying in our villa in the gated community of Caesarea, Israel for 5 weeks from beginning of December 2016 until first week January 2017.
They are highly professional, extremely serious, very well experienced in what it means to house- and petsit and truly honest, honourable, intelligent, decent people with a great love and worship for animals. They are highly organised, self sufficient, thorough, reliable, well educated and mannered, considerate and very attentive. They followed our rules and guidance exceptionally well without losing their initiative. When there were two problems at the house, they immediately informed us, sent picture documentation and checked back on how to proceed best, but at the same time offering their opinion. Their communication was an example, they kept us in the loop at all times, sent videos and pictures of our cat and generally communicated very professionally, which no doubt comes down to their intelligence, background and education.
Danielle & Torsten truly love pets and are taking care of your animal very seriously. They spend a lot of time with the pet, getting to know its very own personality and interact highly consciously and dedicated with your animal. The result was a very happy, calm, balanced and sociable cat Oscar on our return – he was in a fantastic mindset, healthy and clearly got the love and attention he's used to during our absence.
Besides the pet care, we'd like to point out the respect and value Danielle & Torsten showed towards our house. We felt, that they treated our home with great respect, clearly appreciated and worshipped the trust involved. Even when it comes to tidiness and cleanliness, they fulfilled our highest hopes, the house was as spotless as we had left it. Farm Sitting in Marvão, Portugal

Danielle and Torsten are a lovely, very kind, respectful and reliable couple, who took very good care of our Quinta in Portugal for 8 weeks. Organising the sit with them was easy and we left feeling very confident, and we were right. On our return everything was clean and tidy, the windows even cleaner than when we left. They were very engaged in watering and looking after our many little fruit trees and palms, and the garden around the house. And they did great work cleaning all the water creeks out. Cat Sitting on Ibiza

Danielle and Torsten looked after our cat and home for almost 4 weeks this winter. During our absence they often sent us pictures of our cat to let us know how she was doing which we really enjoyed. When our landlord unexpectedly decided to do a major renovation to our home they were very flexible about this and cleaned up the mess for us. They kept our home clean and tidy and our cat was very relaxed when we returned (this is not always the case when we travel).

Dog & Cat Sitting in Mazi, Turkey

Danielle & Torsten are angels without wings! They were with us for almost 3 weeks during which approximately 2 of it I was away, only to return and find out that my babies (3 dogs and a cat) were very happy and healthy and spoiled by plenty of TLC and hugs!
Both have a high level of sense of responsibility. They have observed and respected the routine life of my pets meticulously – on the hour each day during rain and freezing cold winter mornings at the crack of dawn hours with a smiling face even with such a difficult layout where the guest cottage (in which they stayed) is approximately 100 metres downhill from the main living area where the “babies” or the Wi-Fi is.
They kept me in touch daily, sometimes even a couple of times a day, by sending photos of my “babies” and letting me know how they were doing. Although it was not required, the house was immaculately clean and in order upon my return, including my desk that is always a mess! The cottage they stayed in was even cleaner and tidier than when I turned it over to them upon their arrival! While I was still at home they were very discreet in sharing our life and common places.
It has been a pleasure to meet and socialize with them. Me and my babies recommend Danielle & Torsten highly to any owners: you can depend on them and just walk away “with blind eyes”, as the Turkish saying goes. We sure do miss them and hope they will return back!

Retreat Center Caretaking in Humboldt, CA

From 2003–2006 I was president and founder of Standing Wave Yoga, a spiritual community on 57 acres, in northern California. During that time Danielle was our caretaker. The land was undeveloped. Yoga Center & Farm Caretaking in Humboldt, CA

I have known Danielle Loesch for approximately 12 years. We met when she came to the Standing Wave Yoga Center to regain her health and to participate in the construction of our new center near Garberville, CA. I was the principal builder for the 50+ acre off-grid center, which includes residences for yogis, meeting space for classes, vegetable gardens, orchard, a spa area, solar power and private spring water system.
Danielle participated in many of the construction processes. I tutored her in basic carpentry and power tool use, which she mastered and is now able to do light carpentry unassisted. Concurrently during the construction of the infrastructure and buildings Danielle was also working in the construction and planting of the center's food gardens and orchard. Her own personal transformation during that period was nothing short of phenomenal and she was an inspiration to those around her.
Danielle is easy to communicate with and is very neat and efficient in all things.
After several years as residents of the yoga center Danielle and I both had the opportunity to live on an organic farm for several years, as caretakers of the property, providing the farmer/owner a presence for security and tasks associated with the care and upkeep of the property. We gardened in our personal spaces on the farm during that time, and we left the farm in an improved condition when we left to pursue our lives elsewhere.
I was pleased to see Danielle and Torsten meet and begin their life together several years ago. They are people of high integrity, intelligent, resourceful, respectful, trustworthy and will give you peace of mind that your property is in good hands while you are away. She was a trusted and valued member of the Eel River Farm team, working in many areas of the 26-acre farm—including planting, weeding, harvesting, and pruning, managing the greenhouse starts, and managing the office with bookkeeping, filing, and research. I found her to be honest, trustworthy, and very resourceful.
