OUR STORYGrowing up on different sides of the world (Torsten in Hamburg, Germany, and Danielle in Seattle, USA), we both ended up on the road less traveled. We were separately pursuing the inner journey of a yogi, and our paths intersected at a Buddhist forest monastery in the US midwest in 2009. In 2010, Torsten came from Germany to visit Danielle on the organic farm where she lived, and he stayed three months!
From there, we visited each other several times before deciding we wanted to be together full-time. We tied the knot in 2014 and officially based ourselves in Germany. But our drive to see other cultures and experience different ways of living led us to look into new possibilities. We'd house sat before, but we took the plunge and became lifestyle house sitters.
